This Split PDF tool processes the selected document locally in your browser. The splitting code reads the PDF on your device and generates the requested output files in the browser; the PDF-splitting operation does not intentionally upload the document to a Reportix processing server.
Your original PDF is not modified. Google Analytics and the main Google AdSense script are present on the webpage for website analytics and advertising services, but they are separate from the PDF-splitting operation. For site-wide information, read the Reportix Privacy Policy.
How Split PDF by Size Works
A target such as 5 MB or 10 MB is a practical limit, not a guarantee that every generated file will have an identical size. PDF pages contain different amounts of text, fonts, vectors and compressed images. If one original page is already larger than the selected target, that page cannot be divided further without altering its content, so it remains a single PDF part.

Why can a size-based output exceed my selected MB limit?
A single source page can itself be larger than the selected target. Because the tool cannot split the content inside one page without altering it, that page remains one PDF.
Does splitting convert PDF pages to images?
No. The tool copies the selected PDF pages into new PDF documents rather than intentionally rasterizing every page.
Are my PDFs uploaded to a Reportix processing server?
The current Split PDF implementation performs the splitting operation locally in your browser and does not intentionally upload the selected PDF to a Reportix processing server.
Can I split a scanned PDF?
Yes, if the browser can open it. Large image-heavy scans may require more browser memory and processing time.
How do I start a new task?
