JPG, PNG or WEBP: Which Format Should You Choose?
PDF to JPG / JPEG
JPG is usually the practical choice for scanned pages, photo-heavy documents, previews, email attachments and image-upload fields. The quality slider lets you balance visual quality against file size. JPG and JPEG refer to the same common image format; this tool downloads it with the .jpg extension.
PDF to PNG
PNG uses lossless compression, so it is well suited to pages containing small text, screenshots, charts, diagrams, logos and line drawings where sharp edges matter. PNG files can be larger than JPG files, especially for photo-heavy pages. The JPG/WEBP quality slider does not affect PNG output.
PDF to WEBP
WEBP is useful when the converted page will be used on a website or in another modern digital workflow. It can provide compact files while retaining good visual quality. Choose JPG or PNG instead when the destination system does not accept WEBP.

Privacy and File Processing
This converter uses browser-side PDF rendering. When you choose a PDF, the file is read and rendered locally in your browser rather than uploaded to a Reportix conversion server. Converted images and ZIP files are created in the browser and downloaded to your device.
Because conversion uses your device's browser memory, very large PDFs, documents with many pages, or high 2×/2.5× resolution settings may require more RAM and processing time. If conversion stops on a resource-limited device, try fewer pages or a lower resolution. Refreshing the page clears the current working session from the tool interface and lets you choose another PDF.
External website resources such as the PDF rendering and ZIP libraries are loaded by the page, and Reportix uses its normal site analytics/advertising scripts. The PDF document itself is not sent to Reportix for conversion.
Important Conversion Notes
PDF-to-image conversion rasterizes each selected page. The output preserves the visible appearance of the page, but text in the resulting JPG, PNG or WEBP is no longer selectable or editable as PDF text. Links, form fields, layers and other interactive PDF features also become part of a flat image.
Resolution and quality are different controls. Resolution changes the number of pixels used to render a page. The quality slider controls compression for JPG and WEBP. For PNG, compression is lossless, so the quality slider is intentionally not used.
