QR Code Guide

Create QR Codes for Social Media, Wi-Fi, Meetings, Forms, Contacts and Business Use

Reportix Smart QR Code Generator provides purpose-built inputs for common QR tasks instead of forcing every user to prepare a generic link first. Create QR codes for WhatsApp chats, social profiles, guest Wi-Fi, vCard contacts, online meetings, registration forms, events, locations, email, SMS and payment links from one interface.

The live preview lets you check the result before download. Customize foreground and background colors, add a short frame instruction, place a logo in the center, select output quality and export as PNG or JPG. Always scan the final exported artwork before printing or distributing it.

WhatsApp & Social Profiles

Create direct QR access to WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Telegram and other supported profiles. WhatsApp can also include an optional pre-filled message.

Useful for: shop counters, business cards, packaging, exhibition stands and customer-support signs.

Guest Wi-Fi QR Codes

Enter the network name, password, security type and hidden-network setting. Compatible phones can use the encoded network details without visitors manually typing a long password.

Useful for: restaurants, offices, hotels, clinics, waiting rooms and meeting rooms.

vCard Contact QR Codes

Encode structured contact information including name, job title, company, mobile, office phone, email, website and address so recipients can transfer details to a phone more easily.

Useful for: sales teams, consultants, project staff, reception desks and networking events.

Teams, Google Meet, Zoom & Webex

Paste a valid meeting invitation link so participants can scan it from an agenda, invitation, presentation or notice board instead of retyping a long URL.

Privacy tip: do not put confidential credentials into a publicly distributed QR image.

Registration & Survey Forms

Turn Google Forms, Microsoft Forms, surveys, feedback pages, applications, appointment pages and event-registration URLs into scannable codes.

Useful for: conferences, training attendance, visitor registration and feedback collection.

Locations, Events & Payments

Share map destinations, event information or supported payment links. These QR types reduce typing when information needs to move from printed material to a phone.

Useful for: venues, project sites, invitations, service locations and counters.

How to Create a Reliable QR Code

  1. Choose the correct QR type. Select the option that matches the destination or data you want to share.
  2. Enter details carefully. Check URLs, usernames, country codes, Wi-Fi credentials and form links.
  3. Keep good contrast. A clearly darker foreground on a light background is generally easier for cameras to read.
  4. Add a logo carefully. Reportix constrains the center logo area, but you should still test the finished code.
  5. Choose suitable quality. Larger export sizes are preferable when the QR will be placed in print artwork.
  6. Test before publishing. Scan the downloaded file and test a physical proof before a large print run.

Privacy, File Processing & Safe QR Use

This version of the Reportix QR generator creates the QR image in your browser from the information you enter. A selected logo is used to compose the preview and downloaded QR image in the browser. This QR tool does not provide cloud storage for uploaded logos, does not host PDF files and does not create permanent hosted PDF links.

A QR code is not encryption: anyone who can scan or inspect the image may be able to recover its encoded destination or data. Avoid putting passwords, confidential documents, private medical information or other sensitive data in a QR code intended for public distribution. See the Reportix Privacy Policy.

QR Design and Printing Tips

Keep contrast strong. Avoid similar foreground and background colors.

Leave clear space. Do not crop tightly around the QR pattern.

Use clear frame text. “Scan to Join” or “Scan for Menu” explains the action.

Export at suitable quality. Avoid repeatedly enlarging a small raster image.

Check the destination. A scannable QR is not useful if the URL is broken or private.

Test final artwork. Scan after the QR is placed into the actual poster, brochure or card.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Reportix QR Code Generator free?

Yes. The current tool generates and downloads its supported QR code types without requiring a paid account.

Can I add my logo to a QR code?

Yes. Upload a supported image for the center logo. The tool constrains its size, but you should test the final QR after customization.

Can I create a Microsoft Teams or Google Meet QR code?

Yes. Choose Online Meeting and paste a valid Teams, Google Meet, Zoom, Webex or other supported meeting invitation URL.

Can I create a QR for Google Forms or Microsoft Forms?

Yes. Use Registration Form for a public form, survey, feedback, application, appointment or event-registration URL.

Can I generate a Wi-Fi QR code?

Yes. Enter the SSID, password and security type, plus the hidden-network option when applicable.

What is a vCard QR code?

It contains structured contact information such as name, company, phone numbers, email, website and address.

Can I use a QR code for a restaurant menu or brochure?

Yes. Link to a public menu, service page or other web destination and test the printed QR before distribution.

Does this tool host PDF files?

No. The current generator creates QR codes but does not host PDFs or provide permanent file-storage links. A PDF needs an accessible URL from a hosting service you control or trust.

Are QR codes permanent?

The QR image remains readable while the encoded data is valid and the image remains scannable. A static URL QR continues to contain the original URL.

Why can a QR code be difficult to scan?

Common causes include low contrast, very small print size, heavy image compression, cropping, damage or excessive visual interference.

Should I download PNG or JPG?

PNG is often practical for QR graphics because it preserves sharp edges. JPG is also available when it better fits your workflow.

Can I put confidential information inside a QR code?

Do not treat a public QR code as confidential storage. Anyone with access to the image may be able to recover its encoded data.
